₹70This 12-stage purification process begins with bore well water, utilizing initial Sand Filtration and Chlorination for coarse particle and microbial removal. The water then undergoes fine filtration using Activated Carbon and a series of Micron Filters, leading to the essential Reverse Osmosis stage. Final steps include disinfection via Ultra-Violet Treatment and Ozonization, concluding with strict Laboratory Testing to ensure quality before packaging as the final product.
The standards for packaged drinking water vary significantly, with IS Standards providing a range for pH (6.0-8.5) and higher maximum limits for Hardness (300 PPM) and TDS (500 PPM). WHO Standards often align but set a stricter limit for Fluoride (1.5 PPM) and Arsenic (0.01 PPM). Notably, the Can...i Aqua brand maintains the tightest self-imposed limits, achieving significantly lower levels for Alkalinity, Hardness, TDS, and ensuring Nil Copper and Iron.
Quality Control & Assurance involves comprehensive testing. Chemical Testing checks pH (6.5-8.5), TDS, and Turbidity (max 2 NTU), ensuring low Chloride and proper Residual Chlorine. Ozonation is used during bottling to disinfect, remove odor, and enhance taste. Microbiological Testing rigorously checks for harmful pathogens like E. Coli, Yeast/Mould, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa to confirm the packaged water is safe and pure.
